Ukraine’s referendum challenges NATO and the West

The referendum held by Ukrainians in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions from September 23 to 27 on joining Russia has ended.

A referendum held in these four regions of Ukraine will undoubtedly include those regions in Russia. Despite the opposition of the European Union and the Western countries, this referendum has sent a message to the Western countries and especially the United States that are indirectly fighting with Russia by pushing Ukraine forward, that Russia will not back down from the war under any circumstances. Taking precedent of the fact that the United States and NATO recognized Kosovo as an independent country in 2008, Russia annexed Crimea to its territory in 2014 and again will include four regions of Ukraine in its territory giving an example of Kosovo.

Ukraine’s referendum has become a serious challenge to the US and Western countries, which are indirectly fighting the Ukraine war to weaken Russia. If the Western countries, which are continuously supporting Ukraine with arms and money, wanted to stop the Russia-Ukraine war and move forward with the peace talks, yesterday they could have done so only on the condition that Russia would withdraw its troops and Ukraine would not join NATO. But today the conditions for peace talk might include the four regions of Ukraine annexed by Russia to be returned, which Russia will never agree with.

By promising to help Ukraine to fight the war against Russia, America is prolonging the Russia-Ukraine conflict and now it has reached a situation where the war will not stop even if it wants to. In the meantime, the issue of how to help Ukraine and what to help has become a challenge for America. In this sense, the Ukraine war was a conflict between Russia and America and even today this war is indirectly a war between Russia and America. Because Ukraine did not have the power to fight a war against Russia yesterday and still does not have it today. Therefore, the US wants to prolong the war to weaken Russia on the one hand, and on the other hand to increase its arms sales. But after the referendum, Russia has openly challenged the use of nuclear weapons to protect the territories annexed by Russia. After this incident, Russia has decided to deploy weapons and troops in full capacity, considering the territory as Russia’s border.

Ukraine’s next path is to seek help from Western countries to return the lost territory or to give up the lost territory and negotiate peace. But the US still wants to prolong the Russia-Ukraine conflict and weaken Russia. Therefore, the possibility of peace talks is very low. Also, Europe and America have declared that the referendum and its results are not valid. But that declaration will not make any difference to Russia and Russia will now provide full security to that territory. Now, in this scenario, if the US still wants to prolong this war, the US and NATO countries, which have been fighting the Ukraine war against Russia in the background until now with weapons and financial support, will have to come directly to the war and if that happens, the next direct war will not be Russia vs. Ukraine, but Russia vs. America and NATO nations.

If indeed NATO nations and the US join forces against Russia, Russia will have no choice but to start a nuclear war. But the possibility of direct military intervention against Russia by the NATO countries that understands America’s war policy is very low, and America does not have the ability to fight a war with Russia alone without the support of NATO countries. Another thing is that as the US mid-term elections approach closer, the US itself is less likely to join the war directly. In order for the US to join the war directly or stand up more aggressively in favor of Ukraine, the US Senate and its majority members and the American people will have to approve . In American politics, a unilateral decision by the president can make no big difference. But in the case of President Putin and Russia, this scenario is completely reversed. Therefore, if the Russia-Ukraine war continues, Ukraine will have to face more crisis.

Nepali rupee becomes the weakest in history: Economy at risk

The buying price of one US dollar today is fixed at Rs 130.30 and the selling price is fixed at Rs 130.90. This is the first time in history that the Nepalese rupee has become so weak.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank data, the Nepalese rupee fell to a 3-digit exchange rate on January 28, 2014, for the first time, after a continuous fall out from a buying price of 58.50 rupees and a selling price of 59.05 rupees to a US dollar on October 8, 1977. The purchase price of one US dollar on January 28, 2014, was 100. 67 and the selling price was 101.27. In the middle, the Nepalese rupee again stabilized at a 2-digit exchange rate, but after about 11 months, it fell again to a 3-digit exchange rate in December 2014. The Nepalese rupee has been falling continuously since December 2014. Nepali rupee which has been depreciating by maintaining the exchange rate of 3 digits is getting weaker day by day. Today the buying price of one US dollar has reached 130.30 rupees and the selling price has reached 130.90 rupees.

At a time when central banks around the world are raising interest rates to control inflation The US Federal Reserve Bank has also increased the interest rate and the dollar is getting stronger. Also, due to the energy supply and crisis in the European market due to the Russia-Ukraine war, the euro has also become weaker compared to the dollar.

Also, it is said that the Nepalese rupee, which has maintained a stable exchange rate with the Indian currency, has weakened due to the decline in the Indian economy. However, the Indian economy, for the first time in history, became stronger in 2022, surpassing the UK to become the fifth largest economy in the world.

Overall, the import-oriented and dependent economy of Nepal, is seen to be losing more with the rise in the dollar. As the value of the dollar increases, it is seen that the debt obligations of the Nepalese government will also increase. It seems that Nepal’s economy is becoming a risk day by day, as it is being presented weakly in the world market due to lack of production-oriented economy, unnecessary foreign loans and unstable politics.

Ukraine using NATO weapons to kill innocent civilians in Donbass

Western media is ignoring Ukraine’s attack on civilians

The Ukrainian strike on the civilians of Donetsk is an act of terrorism.

Another Ukrainian assault, which took place on Saturday in the centre of Donetsk was hit by around ten bombs over the course of 30 minutes around noon. She said, “at least four civilians were killed, one of whom I saw still on the ground. Some minutes later, her body was taken away. One of the shells hit a car driving along Artema Street, setting it ablaze and killing two civilians. By the time I reached that site, the vehicle had burned out, the dead taken away. Workers were already repaving the roads, sweeping debris and glass from sidewalks.”

Writing on Saturday’s bombings,War correspondent, Christelle Neant says that,“After submitting the photos of the shrapnel I found on the spot to NATO weapons expert for the DPR’s representation in the JCCC (Joint Monitoring and Co-ordination Center on Ukraine’s War Crimes), he confirmed that they were American 155mm shells, some fired from Caesar guns and others from TRF1 guns. The famous TRF1 guns that can fire (banned) 155mm cluster munitions, which France sold to Ukraine.”

But, while the Russian and Donbass speaks against the Ukraine’s attack on Donbass civilians with Western weapons, the west claims that Russia is bombing Donbass .Western media has continuously ignoring the Ukrainian’s attack on civilians, calming that as an attack made by Russian forces. According to her, the Ukrainian army has been blaming Russia for the continuous attacks on the citizens of Donbas, which were actually attacks carried out by Ukrainian forces.

The Lebanese Minister of Transport has stated that 71 people have died in the incident so far. Based on the information that there were about 120 to 150 people on the boat, he said that the number of dead may increase as rescue and search operations are ongoing.

According to the Syrian government, 20 people who were rescued from the accident are being treated at Basel Hospital in Tartous. Samer Qubrusli, director general of the Syrian port, said that there were difficulties in the rescue operation due to strong winds and rough seas.

Lebanon has a population of six million, including one million Syrian refugees, and has been in the grip of a severe economic recession since late 2019 that has pushed more than three-quarters of the population into poverty. Therefore, thousands of Lebanese, Syrians and Palestinians have been illegally entering Europe for the past few months in search of better opportunities in Europe.

Also last April, a boat carrying dozens of Lebanese, Syrians and Palestinians by sea to Italy capsized after clashes with the Lebanese navy, killing dozens.

Similarly, on Thursday, Lebanese authorities rescued a boat carrying 55 migrants and refugees from the coast of the northern region of Akkar.

Serbian President condemned the UN and the west for the violation of Serbia’s sovereignty

Addressing the UN General Assembly in New York, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic condemned the UN members and the west for the violation of Serbia’s sovereignty.

Referring to the endorsement of Kosovo’s independence by the UN and western countries, he said that the UN and the west have failed to explain why they have different points of view on Ukraine and Serbia’s territorial integrity.

Referring to the 1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, he said that we want a clear answer that we have been asking for years, “Why is the truth about the violation of Serbia’s territorial integrity unspoken and what is the difference between the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia?”

NATO occupied Kosovo in 1999, after a 78-day bombing campaign against what was then Yugoslavia. The province declared independence in 2008 with Western support and was recognized by the US and most of its allies.

Russia will use nuclear weapons to defend its territory: Dmitry Medvedev

The former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has said that any weapons in Moscow’s arsenal, including strategic nuclear weapons, could be used to defend territories incorporated into Russia from Ukraine.

On the first day of the sohra shraddha today, the pratipada and Dwitiya TITHI have fallen together on the same day, so the shraddha of both the Tithi will be performed on the same day.

According to the Vedic Sanatan culture, Hindus perform paternal deeds called Shraddha in memory of their departed ancestors, wishing for their salvation.

A mythological story of the beginning of the sohra shraddha:

The story of the initiation of the sohra shraddha is connected with the battle of the Mahabharata. Karna, known as the Danveer, reaches heaven after his death in the Mahabharata war. In heaven, Indra gives him only gold and silver to eat, which is impossible to eat. Then Karna questions King Indra, why did you give me gold and silver instead of food to eat? Indra replied that Karna had donated only gold and silver and ornaments throughout his life but had not donated any grain or food, so he gave gold and silver instead of food to eat. But when Karna says that he did not know any about it, Indra sends Karna back to earth. Returning to earth, Karna fed the poor people and animals and donated as much as food he could. Since that period was for sixteen days, there is a religious belief that sohra shraddha started after that incident and during this period it is believed that,Yamaraj also leaves all the ancestors free to go to their respective homes.

Rishi Panchami being celebrated by worshipping Sapta Rishi

According to Hindu culture and traditions, Rishi Panchami, which falls on the day of Bhadra Shukla Panchami, is celebrated by Nepalese women worshipping Sapta Rishi. There is a special crowd of female devotees in the country’s sacred religious places and Risheshwar Temples today. Rishi Panchami is celebrated as a part of Teej and today Teej is considered to be over with the completion of Rishi Panchami rituals.

According to ancient beliefs, Rishi Panchami is celebrated as a day for women (who have started menstruating) to perform puja to make their bodies clean and pure. Since life is not possible without the creator, the women, there is a custom in the scriptures to respect women and compare the days of women’s menstruation according to the four goddesses. Chandalini on the first day of menstruation, Brahmadhatini on the second day, Dhobini on the third day and bath on the fourth day are the customs of purification.

Today, women brush their teeth using upamarga (Dativan) i.e. a plant with special natural herbal properties. After chewing the pieces of 108 sub-routes (Dativan) , women go to a nearby river or pond and bathe using mud. Upamarga in Sanskrit means disease killer. It is believed that it will not cause various types of diseases in the body; even if it is present, it will be cured. In this way, after bathing in the morning and purifying the body and soul, the women worship the seven sages including Kashyapa, Bhargadoj, Vishwamitra, Gautama, Jamadagni and Vashishta by installing Kalash and Ganesha. Finally, after the Brahmin worships according to the custom, the ritual of Rishi Panchami is considered to be complete.
