The total population of Nepal is 29,164,578

The Department of Statistics has released the final results of the National Census 2078 BS. According to the latest data released by the Department of Statistics, the total population of Nepal has reached 29,164,578.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal announced the final results through a program organized by the Department of Statistics on Friday. According to the data released by the department, Kathmandu has the highest population. According to the department, the population of Kathmandu has reached 2,041,587. In the data released by the department, it has been found that the highest population growth rate is in Bhaktapur and the lowest population growth rate is in Ramechhap.
The report says 66.2 percent of the population resides in urban areas (metropolitan cities, sub-metropolitan cities, and municipalities) and 33.8 percent in rural areas (rural municipalities).

As per the report, the annual population growth rate of the country is 0.92 percent whereas the population density per square km is 198.In the new statistics of the department, there are more women than men. According to public statistics, the number of males is 14,253,551(48.98 per cent) and 14,911,027 females (51.02 per cent).

Meeting in Baluwatar for the seat distribution of the ruling coalition

The meeting of the task force formed for the distribution of seats of the ruling coalition has started at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar.

Before the meeting of the task force, a discussion was held between the top leaders of the five ruling parties. The meeting of the task force started immediately after the discussion of the top leaders.

The task force formed under the chairmanship of Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has prepared a report and submitted it to the leaders.

Earlier, the Congress claimed 100 seats in the House of Representatives, the Maoist Center 60, the Unified Socialist Party 40, the Jaspa 35 and the Rashtriya Janamorcha 2.

However, no agreement was reached in the earlierr meeting held on the issue of seat distribution for the upcoming election.
