Dissolution of all NSU committees on TU

All committees of the Nepal Student Union of Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur have been dissolved.

Dujang Sherpa, the President of the Union, has informed that all the committees active in Tribhuvan University have been dissolved after the cause of continuous lockout and agitation that had become controversial.

Sherpa also said that with the dissolution of all the committees, the process of the convention will be taken forward. It has been mentioned in the statement that the central representative will hold a campus convention as soon as possible to legally embody the Nepal Student Union. Sherpa has requested all their friends to join the convention process and not to do any organizational activities and act against the rules during the vacancy of the committee.

Students union on strike demanding the dismissal of the governor

Student organizations belonging to the ruling coalition party have announced a five-days protest demanding the dismissal of Rastra Bank’s Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari.

In a joint statement the students union has demanded the dismissal of the governor saying that, Governor Adhikari so called M Adhikari has violated the Rastra Bank Act 2058 and has flouted the law and is active in destroying the country’s economy by being a member of the opposition party.

As part of the strike they have announced five days continuous protest in various form demanding the dismissal of the governor.

NSU locked the Tribhuvan Central Office in Kirtipur


Nepal Students Union, a sister organization of Nepali Congress, has locked the central office of Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur.

In a statement issued today, the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) said that the central office of the TRI has been locked. The statement said that the NSU had locked the office saying that its demands had not been addressed and warned that if their demands are not addressed, they would retaliate.

The statement said that the Nepal Students’ Union had earlier locked the central office of the TRI and it was regrettable that the lock was broken by pasting a fake statement with the signature of in-charge Safal on the letter pad of the Central Command of the Communist Party of Nepal (Revolutionary).
