Ramsahay Prasad Yadav elected as the Vice President

Janata Samajwadi Party leader Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has been elected as the third vice president of Nepal. In today’s election, Yadav was elected as the vice president after defeating UML vice president Ashtalakshmi Shakya and Janamat Party leader Mamta Jha.

Yadav received 14,536 votes from the federal parliament and 15,792 votes from the state assembly, out of a total of 52,628 votes in the House of Representatives, National Assembly, and State Assembly.

His nearest competitor, UML candidate Ashtalakshmi Shakya has received a total of 16 thousand 328 votes, while the vice presidential candidate Mamta Jha has received 2 thousand 537 votes.

Vice President, Yadav is the leader of the parliamentary party of JASAPA and also a member of the House of Representatives elected from Bara-2.

Vice President Pun counters the President’s move

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said that those who are responsible for the observance and protection of the Constitution are not allowed to go beyond the Constitution.

Vice President Pun, issuing a statement, said that the main guardian and the protector of the Constitution have not been consciously following and protecting the Constitution.

The Vice President’s statement has been issued after the President didn’t ratify the citizenship bill.
