No activity against China will be allowed on Nepali soil: PM Deuba

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has promised that no activity against China will be allowed on Nepali soil.

During a meeting at Singha Durbar, between the Chinese delegation led by Li Zhanshu and Prime Minister Deuba, he informed that Nepal’s foreign policy is based on the principle of Panchsheel and said that Nepal is committed to the One China policy.

PM Deuba praised China’s cooperation in the economic and social sector of Nepal and said, “we will not allow any activity against China to be carried out on Nepali soil.” Prime Minister Deuba expressed his belief that the agreement will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

During the meeting, President Zhanshu said that friendly relations have been established between the two countries as good neighbors for more than six decades.President Zhanshu also recalled the understanding meeting and visit between the then Prime Minister BP Koirala and the Chinese leadership in the 1960s. He also said that China is serious and conscious about Nepal’s sovereignty, geographical integrity and national unity.
