Nepal won the first T20 international match against Kenya

Nepal won the first T20 international match against Kenya by 5 wickets.

Kenya, who lost the toss and batted first, lost 8 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs and managed to score 130 runs. The Nepali team, which entered the field with a target of 131 runs, managed to add 133 runs after losing 5 wickets in 19.2 overs.

After winning the first international match under the leadership of newly appointed coach Manoj Prabhakar, Nepal has taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. The Nepalese team on the tour of Kenya will play 5 T-20 and 3 ODI series.

Nepal is currently ranked 14th in the World T-20 international rankings.
In the 2024 T-20 World Cup, the top 12 ranked countries will be selected for the World Cup, apart from the host nation.

T-20 World Cup trophy to be brought to Nepal

The T20 Cricket World Cup trophy will be brought to Nepal for the first time. The trophy will be brought to Kathmandu during the T20 World Cup Trophy Tour.

T20 World Cup will be started from October 16 in Australia. According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the trophy tour has started from today .

The journey to take the trophy to different cities of the world has started 100 days before the start of the World Cup. The ICC has stated that the trophy will will be brought to Kathmandu on August 30.
The trophy tour will be conducted in 35 cities in 13 different countries.

Earlier, the trophy of the ODI Cricket World Cup in 2019 was brought to Nepal.
