No hearing held in the writ petition against 14 MPs including Madhav Nepal

A writ petition filed by UML chairperson KP Sharma Oli demanding dismissal of 14 lawmakers including Madhav Kumar Nepal could not be heard even today.

A lawyer from Madhav Nepal’s side had filed a petition seeking adjournment of the hearing. But that was denied by Justices Anil Kumar Sinha and Subedi.

The hearing was adjourned as it was not possible to proceed. Judges Anil Kumar Sinha and Nahakul Subedi were scheduled to appear in the bench for a full hearing of the case.

Earlier, a bench of Justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Kumar Chundal had decided to take the writ to full hearing and ordered to hear the case today.

Oli has demanded action against 14 lawmakers, including Nepal, who split the UML and formed the CPN-Unified Socialist Party.
