Arrest warrants against immigration officials involved in setting up visit visas

Kathmandu- Kathmandu district court has issued arrest warrants against seven immigration officials involved in setting up visit visas. The police investigation has shown that the setting up of visit visas is done in an organized manner at the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport.

According to the police, arrest warrants have been issued against immigration officers Kushal Baral, Shailendra Dhakal, Bimal Paudel, Vishnu Aryal, Vikas Dangol, Pitambar Rimal and Sujan Fago.

The police said that after the involvement of more employees was confirmed in the investigation of detained immigration officer Narveer Khadka and the middleman, the search for other employees has been started.

After the police investigation revealed the setting, the Ministry of Home Affairs has recently canceled the 17-point criteria regarding visit visas that have been in force for two years and implemented a new 6-point procedure.
