Nepalese can bring two mobile phones while returning from abroad

May 9, Kathmandu- When returning from foreign employment, Nepali citizens will now be allowed to bring two mobile phones with them.

Before this, the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office was confiscating all the mobile phones apart from the one carried by Nepalese returning from foreign employment. The Council of Ministers meeting held on Tuesday, by revising the regulations has decided to arrange to bring a maximum of two mobile phones for Nepalese returning from foreign employment.

Earlier,after Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office confiscated the mobile phones of Nepalese returning from foreign employmnet, they started a no remittance campaign against the government.

The Minister of Communication, Information and Technology Rekha Sharma has informed that the Ministry of Communication and Labor will do the necessary coordination and homework and implement this system soon.
