Ninth convention of Nepal Press Union started in Hetauda

The ninth convention of Nepal Press Union, a journalist organization close to the Nepali Congress, has started today in Hetauda.

Anita Bindu and Shiv Lamsal are competing for the post of president in the ninth convention of Nepal Press Union inaugurated by Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

A faction of the party has been seen in the convention of Nepal Press Union, where Anita Bindu from the Deuba-led founding party and Shiv Lamsal from other groups are competing with the panel.

From the Deuba panel, Saroj Adhikari is contesting as Senior Vice President, Jagannath Dulal as General Secretary, Keshav Sawad as Deputy General Secretary, Khagendra Bhandari as Secretary, Menuka Dhungana as Women’s Secretary and Madhav Dhital as Treasurer.

Dilip Poudel as General Secretary, Vishnu Chhetri as Deputy General Secretary, Prem KC as Senior Vice President and Nakul Aryal, Bhishmaraj Ojha and Shekhar Regmi as Open Vice Presidents are seen in the competition from the other panel.

More than 1,600 convention delegates from all over the country will participate in the convention.
