Institutional labor approval from online system from 15 April

The Foreign Employment Office, Kathmandu has made arrangements to sanction institutional labor approval only through online system. Ramesh Aryal, head of the office, informed that it has been decided to allow institutional labor only through the online system from April 15.

The office is working on labor sanction, institutional labor sanction and individual labor sanction. The process of giving institutional labor sanction through online system has been taken forward by modifying the old system of having manpower entrepreneur or their representative present in the office for institutional labor sanction.

The Ministry of Labor has stated that the online system has been implemented to make labor approval faceless, paperless and cashless and to provide services in a fast, quick and transparent manner. Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha has said that an arrangement has been made to sanction labor through online system as per the policy of providing easy service to the workers going for foreign employment.

Aryal said that the work of institutional labor sanction is being done through the online system along with the re-labor sanction as per the directive given by the ministry to provide simple and quick complaint-free service using modern technology.

The office has requested the licensed manpower company and stakeholders to apply online three days in advance for institutional labor approval as it would take time to check the documents and sometimes there might be a problem with the server.
