Nepal should be made a ‘hub’ of higher education: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has said that Nepal should be made a “hub” of higher education. The Prime Minister said this while addressing the ninth meeting of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences.

I have a clear belief that Nepal should be made a hub of higher education. This is not only our aspiration, but also an area of significant potential,” he said. “I am very happy to learn that students from abroad have started coming to study at the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences.”

Expressing his belief that the establishment will make more progress in the future, Prime Minister Prachanda said that the establishment is providing direct services to the people of Karnali Province and the backward areas of Sudurpaschim Province as well as producing skilled manpower.

The Prime Minister said, “The institution is not only providing services to the poor, it is also producing skilled and hardworking health workers.”

Mentioning that the foundation has played an important role when the country and the people are in trouble, Prime Minister Prachanda said that whether it is in the tragic situation of the Covid epidemic or during the recent devastating earthquake, the foundation has done very important work in the fields of preparedness, necessary vigilance, rescue and treatment with full sense of responsibility.

Stating that it is the responsibility of the establishment to make the service delivery more simple, convenient and quality in the future, Prime Minister Prachanda stressed that for a competitive society, the nation and the world, qualified, efficient, honest and full of patriotic spirit should be produced.

He felt that the establishment has made significant progress in recent years, and expressed his belief that the establishment will take serious initiatives in innovation-based studies, research and inventions.
