Niharika’s hunger strike ended after 17 days

Niharika Rajput (Sonalikumari Singh), who has been demanding the DNA test of her son born out of rape and rape accused Shivraj Shrestha, has ended her hunger strike.

Niharika Rajput, who has been on a hunger strike for 17 days, has ended her strike by agreeing on 3 points with the government. In the presence of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Gobind Prasad Koirala, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Gobind Prasad Rizal and Niharika reached the three points agreement.

It has been agreed that the public prosecutor will demand the court for DNA testing of the pending case in Janakpur High Court on behalf of Niharika.

Similarly, to make the DNA test reliable, it has been demanded to adopt the necessary procedure before the court and after these demands are fulfilled, it is mentioned in the consent letter that Niharika will end her strike

The hearing of the case filed by Niharika in the High Court has been fixed for the 24th of August, saying that the District Court Dhanusha has acquitted the rape accused Shrestha.

Shrestha, whom Niharika accused of rape, was arrested and detained by the police a few days ago on charges of indecent behavior.
