Withdrawal of facilities granted to VVIPs and VIPs against the norms

Kathmandu- The government has been instructed to return the security officers, drivers and cooks given to VVIPs and VIPs against the norms within 15 days.

The State Order and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives has instructed the ministers and officials of the government to return vehicles and security personnel who have used more vehicles than they are entitled to according to the rules.

Chairman of the committee Ramhari Khatiwada has said that he has decided to instruct the Government of Nepal, the Prime Minister and Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs to return the PSOs provided against the standards to the VVIPs and other VIPs as per the rules and send them to their places of employment within 15 days.

The committee has instructed to implement the decision to open essential service offices even on public holidays in order to maintain good governance according to the decision of the Government of Nepal and the office of the Prime Minister, Council of Ministers.
