According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, the low-pressure line of Monsoon is currently located in the west and in the southeast part of the country.

At present, there is partial to general rain across the country. There is light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning in some places of Province 1 and one or two places in the rest of the provinces.

Afternoon: Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province will be normal cloudy and partly cloud will be in other provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in the hilly areas of the country and a few places in the rest of the country.

Night: There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at a few places in Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at one or two places in the remaining provinces.

Afternoon: There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in the hilly areas of the country and few places in the rest of the country.

Night: Partial cloud over the country. Chance of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at few places over Province 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

August 23 (Tuesday)

Afternoon: Partial cloud over the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in Province 1, Madhesh Province and Bagmati Province and few places in the rest of the region.

Night: There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places of Province 1, Madhesh Province and Bagmati Province and few places of remaining provinces. Also, it seems that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Province 1.

Partial to moderate rain will prevail across the country. There is a risk of landslides in some hilly areas and few places in the rest of the area as there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with hunder/lightning. Also, it is requested to take necessary precautions as the water level may rise slightly in the rivers and canals and the daily life/transport area may also be affected.
