The deadline for party registration for the elections to be held on November 20 is ending today.

The Election Commission started the party registration program on August 7. According to the notification issued by the commission, today is the last day for party registration. Election Commission spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel said that the political parties interested in participating in the elections should register their parties within office hours today. According to Paudel, the political parties registered in the Commission till 4th August 2022 will be allowed to register for the direct and proportional election.

According to the Commission, 62 parties have been registered till now. When applying for party registration, the full and short name of the political party, the date of establishment, the date of registration with the commission, the address of the central office, the mailing address, telephone number, email, website and social network account must also be disclosed.Election commission has mentioned that the number of officers and members of the party’s central executive committee, state and district committees, the date the party submitted its annual audit report to the commission, the date of the last election of the party’s central level and state executive committee, and the number of officers and members of the party’s central level and central executive committee, state and district committees should also be disclosed for the registration.
