Shares trading of Investment and Mega Bank been stopped

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has stopped trading of shares of Nepal Investment Bank and Mega Bank.

With the agreement of merger between Investment Bank and Mega Bank, the trading of shares of both the banks has been stopped. Earlier, the two banks had written to Nepse to suspend their share trading for the purpose of merger.

After the merger, the name of the bank will be Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited. As per the preliminary agreement reached between Investment Bank and Mega Bank, the bank will become the largest commercial bank in Nepal after the merger. The merger work has been moved forward so that the business will start in an integrated manner by the end of September.
