Pushpa Bhusal’s candidature for the post of Deputy Speaker from the ruling coalition

On behalf of the ruling coalition, Nepali Congress Whip Pushpa Bhusal (Gautam) has nominated for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Bhusal registered the candidature with the support of Devprasad Gurung, the chief whip of the Maoist Center and Laxmikumari Chaudhary of the United Socialist Party.

After the nomination, the final list of candidates will be published today at 1:30 pm and the election will be held tomorrow at 3 pm.

Pushpa Bhusal, who was elected as a proportional MP from Arghakhanchi in the 2070 election, has been involved in the active politics of the Nepali Congress for a long time.

Bhusal, who has a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in political science, has also become a central member of the Nepal Bar Association. She is the daughter of Kashinath Gautam, who was the health minister in BP Koirala’s cabinet in 2015 BS.
