Prime Minister Dahal flying to India

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is leaving for a four-day visit to India on Wednesday. This is Dahal’s first foreign visit after becoming the Prime Minister for the third time.

According to Foreign Minister NP Saud, during the Prime Minister’s visit to India, homework has been done for agreements and cooperation on issues including long-term energy trade, electricity trade through India to Bangladesh, transmission lines, air routes, connectivity and cooperation in agriculture.

Saud said that ensuring the sale of electricity produced in Nepal is Nepal’s priority and accordingly, efforts will be made to reach a long-term agreement with India to increase investment in the electricity sector and ensure the market.

Similarly, during the Prime Minister’s visit to India, Nepal has given importance to air connectivity and said that apart from the Simra route, other routes including Mahendranagar, Nepalgunj, Bhairahwa and Biratnagar will be discussed.

Similarly, the border issue will be discussed at the Prime Minister level, investment, trade, technology development, construction of development projects, cooperation in crime investigation and other issues will be agreed at the delegation level, according to the foreign ministry.

Prime Minister Dahal is landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on a regular flight of Nepal Airlines at 2:50 pm on Wednesday. 47 government officials, 41 private industry business sector personnel, media representatives, 5 ministers, one and a half dozen secretaries and joint secretaries will participate in the team.

On Saturday, the fourth day of the visit, Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to depart for Kathmandu on a Nepal Airlines plane at 4:20 PM.
