Preparation to pass the Citizenship Bill today

The government is preparing to pass the disputed citizenship bill in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, it has been mentioned in the agenda that Home Minister Balkrishna Khand will submit a motion to pass the Nepal Citizenship (First Amendment) Bill, 2079 in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, which will be held at 1:00 PM.

Coalition government withdrew the previous citizenship bill prepared by the then Oli government and registered a new bill.
