PM Prachanda will take the vote of confidence on March 20

It is said that Prime Minister Prachanda will take the vote of confidence on March 20.

A letter was sent to the Parliament Secretariat to manage the agenda for the vote of confidence on Thursday and the Parliament Secretariat informed that the agenda is being prepared.

According to Article 100(2) of the Constitution, if a party participating in a coalition government as per 76(2) withdraws its support, the Prime Minister must submit a proposal to the House of Representatives for a vote of confidence within 30 days. According to the provisions, Prime Minister Prachanda will have to get 138 votes to win the vote of confidence.

Earlier in FebruaryRastriya Prajatantra Party and UML withdrew their support from the government formed under the leadership of Maoist Chairman Prachanda, who became the Prime Minister with the support of 169 MPs including UML, Maoists, Raswapa, RPPA, Janmat, Jaspa, Civil Immunity and three independents .
