Kathmandu Metropolis has said that the District Police Kathmandu has ignored the complaint filed by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City demanding action against the deadly attack on the city police. Despite registering a complaint with the details of the attacker, the police have not arrested anyone yet.

The details of the eight people who attacked the city police have been revealed in the complaint. However, the metropolis has accused Nepal police of not taking action against the assailant. Nabin Manandhar, spokesperson of the metropolis, said that the Nepal Police did not prosecute those who attacked the city police. “We demanded that immediate action should be taken,” he said, “but the Nepal Police did not take any action on the complaint.”

According to him, the city police was deployed by the metropolis on to demolish the illegall houses and infrastructures built by the homeless at Thapathali. At the same time, people living there assaulted the city police. In the process, 36 city police were injured where some of the seriously injured are undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital.

Meanwhile,Dineshraj Mainali, spokesperson of the Kathmandu Police, informed that they are working on the complaint. He said, “We are investigating after receiving a complaint, but no one has been arrested.”

However, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Police Chief SP Rajunath Pandey said that “Nepal police did not pay attention to the complaint we gave demanding action.
