North Korea fired three ballistic missiles on Wednesday morning.
The missiles were fired less than a day after US President Joe Biden returned to the United States, promising to step up measures to stop North Korea during a visit to South Korea and Japan.
North Korea has been testing ballistic missiles since the beginning of the year.
During Biden’s visit, US and South Korean officials reportedly warned that North Korea was preparing for a weapons test.
During Biden’s visit, Biden and his South Korean counterpart, Eun Suk-yol, agreed to conduct large-scale military exercises and deploy additional US strategic assets if necessary to halt North Korea’s rapid weapons tests.
