Hearing on charles sobhraj case

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the case of serial killer Charles Sobhraj today. A joint bench of Justices Bamkumar Shrestha and Nahakul Subedi is scheduled to hear the case.

Earlier, a single bench of Justice Anil Kumar Sinha had issued a show cause order on January 23. Sobhraj had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court on Wednesday, January 22, seeking release on the basis of age. He is currently in custody at Jagannath Deval.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Prison Management, Kalikasthan, District Administration Office, Kathmandu and Prison Office, Jagannath Deval have been named as opponents in the case.
