The Standing Committee meeting of the CPN Maoist Center has appointed Dev Gurung as the General Secretary.

In the standing committee meeting held at the party’s central office, Koteshwar Parisdanda, President Pushpa Kamal Dahal proposed the names of 21 other officials including Gurung.

Narayankaji Shrestha has been proposed as the senior vice president and Krishna Bahadur Mahara as the vice president. Similarly, Girirajmani Pokharel, Barshman Pun, Haribol Gajurel, Pampha Bhusal, Janardhan Sharma, Matrika Yadav and Shakti Basnet have been proposed as deputy general secretary.

Similarly, Dinanath Sharma, Chakrapani Khanal, Devendra Poudel, Lilamani Pokherel, Ganesh Shah, Hitman Shakya, Hit Raj Pandey, Dilaram Sharma and Ram Karki has been proposed as the secretaries, while Shriram Dhakal has been proposed as the treasurer.
