In the meeting of the House of Representatives, UML MP Surya Prasad Pathak has demanded to inform the House about the visit of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to the United States.

Pathak also said that the visit of the Prime Minister and the Chief of Army Staff to the United States has raised suspicions that Nepal may be participating in the Indo-Pacific Strategy.

Stating that the remarks made by the Chief Whip of the ruling party regarding national security sensitivities have raised concerns about national independence, sovereignty and geographical integrity, Pathak demanded that the Speaker should rule on the issue to the Prime Minister.

Chief Whip of the UCPN (M) Dev Gurung had also demanded in the House of Representatives to postpone the visit of the Prime Minister and the Chief of Army Staff to the United States regarding the national security sensitivities.
