Corruption case and the resignation of Chief Minister of Madhesh Province

Janata Samajwadi Party President Upendra Yadav has demanded the resignation of Madhesh Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut.

After the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority filed a corruption case in a special court determining the irregularities in the Chief Minister’s Swachhta Abhiyan and Beti Bachau, Beti Padhau Abhiyan the resignation has been demanded.

Determining that there was a corruption of more than a 100 million rupees in the purchase of bicycles, the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a corruption case in a special court against, the then State Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office Yamprasad Bhusal, Deputy Secretary Dilip Kumar Pradhan, Senior Divisional Engineer Bhagwan Jha, Officer Eighth Level Surendra Kumar Karna, Assistant Accountant Rajaram Mandal, Swarth Mahato, Mohan Kumar Das and Om Satya Sai Pvt Ltd managing director Renu Aggarwal. Questions have also been raised against the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority for giving immunity to Chief Minister Raut and the Chief Secretary in corruption cases.

After the investigation by the Authority, the Detailed Plan Report (DPR) file of 32 projects made under the Chief Minister Swachhta Abhiyan and the file related to the purchase of bicycles have also been made disappear.
