18-point agreement for waste management

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City and the locals of Sisdol and Banchare Danda reached an 18-point agreement on waste management at midnight on Friday.

As soon as the agreement reached last night, the the passage for the waste management in Banchare Dada has been cleared.
As per the agreement between the people’s representatives of the landfill site affected area and the metropolis, garbage will be transported only at night from now onwards. For the locals, the metropolis has agreed to compensate the affected locals, allocate regular budget and build infrastructure.

As per the agreement reached between the metropolis and the locals, the road section to reach the landfill site will be constructed within three months and the necessary lights and other infrastructures will be constructed.
