In the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, 16 nations have managed to reach the knockout stage.
The 32-nation World Cup 2022 group stage match was very unexpected this time. This time, former champions Germany, Uruguay and Belgium have been eliminated from the group stage, while Japan, Morocco and Switzerland unexpectedly managed to secure their place in the knockout stage.
The World Cup 2022 will now have a total of 16 matches including the final. There will be eight matches of 16 nations in the knockout stage.
