Two teenage girls found dead in Achham confirmed to have been murdered

Achham — Police have released details of the incident through a press conference, concluding that the two teenage girls, 14-year-old Ishara Khadka and 15-year-old Saraswati Khadka, found dead in Achham, were murdered.

Police have arrested two teenagers, aged 17 and 15, studying in grades 10 and 8 at Gurukul Secondary School in Dhakari, on charges of murder. According to the police, Ishara and Saraswati were talking to the teenagers on phone and social media and had planned to meet in the forest two days ago. During the meeting, a 15 year old teenage boy among arrested proposed to Saraswati for love and sex, and when she refused, he hit her on the head with a stone.

After Saraswati died of a stone, it has been revealed that Ishara was also killed to cover up the murder.

Police have said that the two teenagers have confessed to the murder and that an investigation is underway to determine the involvement of others, but the investigation is ongoing as the final post-mortem report and technical reports are yet to come. The police also stated that the juveniles in police custody are being investigated after being remanded for five days by the Achham District Court.
