The House of Representatives has formed an impeachment recommendation committee on the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabara.
Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has formed an 11-member committee to investigate the impeachment against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra.
The main opposition CPN-UML has agreed to form an 11-member committee to probe the impeachment despite obstructing the parliament. With the consent of the main opposition CPN-UML, the Work Advisory Committee had set the agenda for the formation of an 11-member committee with representatives from all parties.
Bishnu Poudel, Lal Babu Pandit, Shivamaya Tumbahamphe and Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel are representing UML in the impeachment recommendation committee formed today while Min Bahadur BK and Ram Bahadur Bista are representing Nepali Congress. Similarly, Maoist’s Yasoda Subedi, Rekha Sharma, CPN-S’s Kalyani Khadka, Losapa’s Ekwal Miya and Jaspa’s Pramod Shah are also on the committee.
The next meeting of the House of Representatives has been called for Sunday, March 13 at 1 p.m.
